But first thing first. Let’s get you dressed for some serious upselling!

So exactly how do I go about this? How do I upsell… and is it really worth the effort?

YES… upselling definitely is worth the effort!

Many print houses get their work on a mouth to mouth basis. Doing a great job. Delivering on time with a happy customer on the receiving end. This is a sure way to get recommendations and more work. No doubt.

You probably recognize this.

You might not even need to advertise… Which is exactly why you need to upsell.

Let’s give you an example from the real world:

Eelan is a Dutch graphic design company with its own in-house print facilities. They were the very first business in Europe to purchase the latest of Roland DG’s renowned printer/cutters, the TrueVIS VG-640. With the investment of a Print&Cut device Eelan has been able to cross-sell additional products to their customers delivering the widest range of high quality prints. As Eelan’s Creative Print Expert, Joris Langedijk puts it: “If in addition to business cards you can also do the car wrapping in house you make it very easy for the customer”.

And that is just it… Diversity and application range is the key to upselling.

Your new customer might know that you are able to print stunning signs and wall graphics. His friend, the owner of a local coffee shop, told him. But imagine that your new customer is a local sports club. They approached you to produce a set of wall graphics for their newly refurbished offices. How many complementary applications could you offer at the same time?

The answer is A LOT!

The infographic below highlights just some of the huge variety of eye-catching graphic applications you could produce with an integrated printer/cutter to make the most of that customer’s brand.
